How to Transition Your Dog to a Raw Food Diet (Without the Drama)

Thinking about switching your doggo to raw but feeling a little... eek? Totally normal. You’re not the only pet parent staring at a bowl of mince thinking, “How do I even start this without creating a four-legged protest?” Good news: with a bit of patience, a sprinkle of know-how, and maybe some treats (for both of you), it’s actually a walk in the park.

Start Slow and Steady
This isn’t the time for cold turkey (unless you’re feeding turkey, then... maybe). Don’t go chucking out the bikkies overnight, ease into it. Start with around 20% raw, 80% dry food.

Keep it chill for a few days, then slowly shift the balance over a week or two. Baby steps, not belly aches.

Keep an Eye on the Poo (Yep, We Said It)
Yep we’re going there. Your doggo’s poo it’s actually a great clue into how things are going. Some changes are totally normal at the start, but if things get too funky or your pup’s looking a bit off, just slow it down. Every dog’s got their own pace (some are sprinters, some are Sunday strollers).

Stick to One Protein at First
Variety is great... eventually. But when you're just kicking things off, pick a single protein (like chicken or beef) and ride that wave for at least a week. Once your dog’s tummy gives the green light, you can start mixing it up like a pro for balanced, top-dog nutrition.

Add a Bit of Bone and Offal (It’s Not as Gross as It Sounds)
Raw feeding isn’t just meat, meat, meat.
Bones = calcium.
Offal = essential nutrients.
Together = one happy, healthy hound.

Feeling overwhelmed? No stress, our ready-made raw mixes have the perfect balance, so you don’t have to play pet nutritionist in your kitchen.
